At 5;57am on February 13, 2009 (yes, a Friday the 13th)  we welcomed our newest daughter Karis to the world.  The next week, of course, was a week of first, as many family members met Karis for the first time, and Karis got to do many things for the first time.  Unfortunately, two people are glaringly absent from the pictures, and that is both grandfathers.  Hopefully that will be changed soon as they get to se Karis more.  Karis did however get to meet all of her grandparents, as well as her great-grandparents who happened to be in town at the time.  With all of her cousins, uncles, and aunts scheduled to come into town in the next month, more pictures are sure to follow.

Many stars aligned, allowing most of our family to be in the same place at the same time.  Here are a few pictures of the fun, and of course, the kids.

As the birth of Karis comes closer, we realized that we had to get out and do something as a family, so we all spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day up at the San Francisco Zoo.  It was so much fun to see Katelyn really enjoy herself, especially on the train ride.  And of course, being in California, we can still wear shorts and t-shirts in San Francisco.

December 25th this year was spent in Point Roberts with all the Neufelds.  With many family members, good food, lots of snow, and special presents, it was quite a Christmas.  For all involved, this was the first time they remember seeing snow fall on Christmas morning for a truly white Christmas.  Here are a few pictures of our day.

Christmas Eve was a wonderful night.  We all got together at Oma & Opa’s house, had dinner and the girls opened their stockings.  Here are a few pictures of the the girls all dressed up before we headed off to Church.  Also included is Kathryn’s 32 (oops, actually 33) week pregnancy picture.

This year, Kathryn’s dream came true and we had a large amount of snow in the days before Christmas.  Pictures of our Christmas are still to come, but here are the pictures of the snow.  And of course, what do you do with snow?  Build a snowman!!

This year, we are spending part of our Christmas break in Point Roberts, Washington.  And it was a good year to be up north. Constant snow has created quite a Winter Wonderland.  So far we have played in Oma and Opa’s backyard, gone up to Vancouver to ride the Christmas Train in Stanley Park, and played in more snow.  We might have eaten some too!  And we have only been here for two days.  With five more days in Point Roberts, more fun is sure to be had, so you can expect more pictures later.
