Edit: Pictures are above!
December 25th this year was spent in Point Roberts with all the Neufelds. With many family members, good food, lots of snow, and special presents, it was quite a Christmas. For all involved, this was the first time they remember seeing snow fall on Christmas morning for a truly white Christmas. Here are a few pictures of our day.
Christmas Eve was a wonderful night. We all got together at Oma & Opa’s house, had dinner and the girls opened their stockings. Here are a few pictures of the the girls all dressed up before we headed off to Church. Also included is Kathryn’s 32 (oops, actually 33) week pregnancy picture.
This year, Kathryn’s dream came true and we had a large amount of snow in the days before Christmas. Pictures of our Christmas are still to come, but here are the pictures of the snow. And of course, what do you do with snow? Build a snowman!!
This year, we are spending part of our Christmas break in Point Roberts, Washington. And it was a good year to be up north. Constant snow has created quite a Winter Wonderland. So far we have played in Oma and Opa’s backyard, gone up to Vancouver to ride the Christmas Train in Stanley Park, and played in more snow. We might have eaten some too! And we have only been here for two days. With five more days in Point Roberts, more fun is sure to be had, so you can expect more pictures later.
San Jose’s Christmas in the Park
On December 13th of this year, Granme and Poppy joined us in downtown San Jose for the annual Christmas in the park. Katelyn loved looking at all the displays, and getting to spend a night out with her grandparents. That is until she finally had to say “no more camera” and cover her face from view. Then we knew it was time to go home.
We made our 3rd annual trip to Stanford Mall to visit Santa Claus this year. Last year Katelyn would have nothing to do with Santa Claus. This year, we hoped for a better result. When we arrived she seemed happy, but as the time drew near, she again wanted nothing to do with Santa. This year though, with Katelyn still on Mommy’s lap, Santa read her a story about his reindeer. She, after a minute or two, was comfortable enough with Santa to sit on his lap and give a one of her great big Katie smiles.
